The Central region - a land that has endured many storms - is once again writhing in pain. Storm No. 10 with its fierce winds and prolonged rain and flood circulation has swept away roofs, fields, laughter and peaceful sleep of hundreds of thousands of people . In the rolling floodwaters are bewildered eyes, empty hands clinging to each other to struggle to get up in the midst of devastation.

The numbers of the damage can be recorded, but the pain of those who lost their loved ones, of children standing silently in front of ruined classrooms, of bare roofs with cold brick floors cannot be measured. The Central region today is in mourning, but it has never been alone. Because when a part of the Fatherland bleeds, millions of hearts beat together and act together.

Without waiting for the flood to recede, each order for rescue, recovery, and support from the Central Government immediately arrived at the scene. The entire system switched to “quick response” mode – from rescue, relief to reconnecting electricity, water, schools, hospitals, etc.

From the Central: The Prime Minister issued urgent dispatch 178/CD-TTg, directing:

- Do not let people starve or sleep in the open.

- Priority for rescue - relief - distribution of medicine and necessities.

- Restore electricity, water, schools, hospitals, organize temporary learning and mobile medical examination and treatment.

- Review damage to each household, propose emergency budget to rebuild houses, reinforce dikes and reservoirs.

When the Central region was submerged in storms and floods, relief activities were immediately activated on a large scale. Without waiting for an official call, many organizations and individuals proactively took part – quickly, quietly and effectively.

As of the afternoon of October 2, the total funding for support and relief for storm No. 10 has reached about 684 billion VND , from many resources inside and outside the system:

- Vietnam Red Cross : 2 relief trips, totaling about 5.5 billion VND

- Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front : received about 673 billion VND, allocated the first phase: 265 billion VND to 17 provinces

- Hanoi City : direct support of 55 billion VND for Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Quang Tri

- Artists and individuals: donated about 5.35 billion VND

After the storm and flood, people need warm blankets, clean water, medicine, a roof to protect them from the rain, and most of all, the faith to stand up. Every share – no matter how small – is a ray of hope. Don’t wait. Right now you can:

- Send essential items: blankets, warm clothes, roofing sheets, medicine...

- Financial support through official channels: Red Cross, Vietnam Fatherland Front, local funds...

- Volunteer: building houses, clearing mud, repairing roads...
