Actor Minh Luan, 40 years old, aims to get married this year and hopes to have children soon.
He talked about life and love on the occasion of returning to film the movie project Hai Muoi , after a period of absence from showbiz.
- Why have you been quiet and not active in entertainment recently?
- During the pandemic, I returned to live with my family in Dong Thap, ate freely, and gained weight uncontrollably from 71 kg to 84 kg. When I returned to Ho Chi Minh City to work, I was shy to appear and did not dare to take photos, accept films or appear at events. I was under pressure about my weight and was stressed. After that, thanks to some people's guidance and focusing on learning many methods, I played sports such as golf, tennis, and ate healthily, and then got back in shape.
I also lost my passion for acting after filming continuously for many years, without having time to recreate my emotions. Before, I sometimes filmed three or four TV series a month. The roles were similar, without much breakthrough or impression, and did not give me a truly "satisfying" feeling when transforming. Over time, I realized that if I did not change, I would fall into a rut, so I stopped filming for a while to listen, observe, and wait for a better opportunity.
I am almost 40 years old this year, I need to be more serious and thorough in my career as well as my love life.

- At this age, how interested are you in marriage?
- This year, getting married is one of the things I want to do. My colleagues of the same age all have wives and children, so I also hope to have a happy home. I had planned to get married with my girlfriend two years ago, but due to many reasons, I have not been able to do it yet. I think "flowers will bloom with enough sunlight", the same goes for marriage, it needs to be at the right time, not rushed.
However, at this age, I am under a lot of pressure when my parents and relatives keep asking me questions because I am the only son. My goal in life is to have a stable family. I do not dare to say the result yet, but I am determined.
I don’t want to share much about my personal life because I’m afraid of gossip. Before, I made the mistake of showing off my happiness in my relationships, which unfortunately caused a stir. Now I’ve learned my lesson and want to protect my current partner.
- How do you prepare for your planned marriage?
- I think I will focus more on my family and quit my job. I do business in parallel with acting as a preparation for the future as the breadwinner of the family. I plan that if one day I am out of luck and no longer have the talent for the job, I will still have a source of income to support my wife and children.
Having had many experiences in love, I do not ask too much from my future partner. At 30, I was attracted to a passionate love that made me want to conquer. Now I choose someone who brings me a sense of peace, someone I can talk to and look in the same direction.

- What is your career and life orientation in the future?
- After the pandemic, I struggled to deal with human resources when I reduced the business scale, from more than a dozen stores to only two, and it was stressful at times. After a while, director Vu Thanh Vinh approached me again because he believed I would play the secondary character well - a man with many tricks and a handsome appearance in the movie Hai Muoi . I like this project because it gives me a lot of inspiration to return to the screen. Currently, I live mainly on the perfume and real estate business, but acting is still a great spiritual support. No matter what I do, I still love the feeling of standing in front of the camera, living many different lives through each character.
I think I will limit my TV acting and focus on movies. I am looking for different, negative roles. I also maintain my singing career along with acting. I will soon release a music video about the Borelo genre.
I am satisfied with my current life so I don’t seek too much. Every day, I manage my work, record, exercise, and occasionally travel with my loved ones.
Minh Luan was born in 1985 and is one of the familiar actors of Southern television. He has participated in the films: Co dou ga, Yeu tin lan lai, Anh em nha bac si, Pha le khong hap bi. The most recent film he participated in was The Curse at 0:00 , Mother Straw . In 2020, Minh Luan collaborated with artist Hong Van to open Cho Lon Drama Theater. In addition to acting, he has a talent for singing, winning the runner-up prize in the Bolero Love Contest 2016.
