This is a particularly important route to gradually complete the coastal traffic axis connecting the three provinces of Gia Lai - Dak Lak - Khanh Hoa; forming a vital traffic route, connecting neighboring provinces to effectively exploit coastal resources, promote socio -economic development, and strengthen national defense and security.

According to the Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects in the Eastern Region of Dak Lak, the coastal road is being implemented in parallel with two projects, including: The coastal road project, the northern section of An Hai bridge, and the coastal road project of Phu Yen province, the section connecting Tuy An district - Tuy Hoa city (old) phase 1.

Speed up construction of coastal roads.

Specifically, the coastal road project north of An Hai bridge has a length of 7.48 km, with a total investment of 659 billion VND, implemented by the contractor consortium of Tan Lap Company Limited, Nang Ban Mai Investment Group Joint Stock Company, Thanh Trung Corporation - Central Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company, Tuan Tu Construction and Trading Company Limited and Central Construction Group Joint Stock Company. In terms of scale, the first section of the route from Km3+600 - Km6+300 has a roadbed width of 42 m; the section from Km6+300 - Km11+082.18 has a roadbed width of 52 m.

The coastal road project of Phu Yen province, the section connecting Tuy An district - Tuy Hoa city (old) has a length of 14.6 km; the roadbed is 42 m wide; the total investment is over 2,200 billion VND; the construction contract value is over 890.9 billion VND, constructed by Son Hai Group Company Limited.

The coastal road is not only a driving force for marine economic development, but also creates land funds, connects urban areas, industrial parks, seaports and airports, contributing to completing the coastal traffic axis connecting Gia Lai - Dak Lak - Khanh Hoa provinces.

According to the Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects in the Eastern Region of Dak Lak, the coastal road project north of An Hai bridge started construction in January 2024 and is expected to be completed in May 2026; the coastal road project of Phu Yen province, the section connecting Tuy An district - Tuy Hoa city (old) started construction in May 2025 and is expected to be completed in September 2028. Currently, both projects are being accelerated to gradually invest in the completion of the province's coastal road, completing the coastal traffic axis connecting the three provinces of Gia Lai - Dak Lak - Khanh Hoa, contributing to the formation of a vital traffic route connecting neighboring provinces.

According to the joint venture contractor for the coastal road project north of An Hai bridge, localities have handed over the site for construction with a total length of 4.8 km, reaching 64%. Up to now, the contractor has completed the construction of the longitudinal drainage system, constructed 4.8 km of technical sewers, 4.8 km of roadbed; constructed 3 km of crushed stone foundation, paved 2.5 km of road surface... The units also coordinated with local authorities to build 2/2 resettlement areas, expected to be handed over to people in July 2025.

Mr. Le Cong Toan, Deputy Director of Tan Lap Company Limited, said that the company was assigned to construct the section from Km9+00 - Km11+082, with a length of more than 2 km. However, up to this point, the unit has only received about 1 km of clean land. With the area handed over, the company has mobilized equipment and machinery to fill the land, reinforce the roof... reaching about 75% of the workload. "The construction is at a standstill because there is still 1 km of land without land, while the land that has been handed over is also stuck with the 22kV power line, making the construction organization difficult," Mr. Toan shared.

A box culvert is being urgently constructed on the coastal road.

For the provincial coastal road project, the section connecting Tuy An district - Tuy Hoa city (old), the People's Committee of O Loan commune has handed over 6.5/12.2 km of land. Immediately after receiving the land, Son Hai Group Company Limited mobilized machinery and equipment to dig and fill the roadbed. However, this project is also stuck with site clearance, relocation of 22kV power lines and investment in building resettlement areas for affected households. Currently, Tuy An Bac, O Loan, Tuy An Nam communes and Binh Kien ward are counting architectural objects, crops, and announcing land recovery to serve the project construction.

Mr. Dam Thanh Phong, Head of Quality Management Department 3, Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects in the Eastern Region of Dak Lak, said: After the commencement period, both projects of the coastal road of the province are being focused on construction by contractors on the cleared land that has been handed over. Up to now, the accumulated capital allocated for the coastal road project, the northern section of An Hai bridge, is more than 599 billion VND; the disbursement value is more than 249 billion VND, reaching 42% of the capital source. The value of construction and installation is 120 billion VND, reaching 37% of the contract value. For the coastal road project of the province, the accumulated capital allocation is 824 billion VND, the accumulated disbursement is 347 billion VND, reaching 42% of the capital source.

In order for the two projects to be implemented as planned, the investor is planning to work with relevant local authorities to remove obstacles and promptly hand over clean land to the contractor to speed up construction.
