Expansion and opening of the concentrated Information Technology Park Software Park No. 2

On January 16 in Da Nang, Politburo member, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh and leaders of several central ministries and branches attended the ceremony to announce the Decision to expand and inaugurate the Concentrated Information Technology Park of Da Nang Software Park No. 2.

Attending the announcement and opening ceremony, on behalf of Da Nang, were: Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the City National Assembly Delegation Nguyen Van Quang; Chairman of the City People's Council Ngo Xuan Thang; Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh; leaders of relevant departments and branches and representatives of domestic and foreign investment partners.

In his opening speech, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City Le Trung Chinh said that Software Park No. 2 includes 3 buildings ITC, ITC1, ITC3 with an investment of nearly 1,400 billion VND, built on an area of ​​2.8 hectares, with a total floor area of ​​over 92,000 m2, expected to attract 6,000 workers.

After the announcement ceremony, Da Nang officially put into use the ICT1 building with 8 floors, total floor area of ​​over 39,000 m², exploitation area of ​​21,000 m², in which priority is given to strategic partners, strategic investors, small businesses, innovative businesses in the field of semiconductors and artificial intelligence.

Currently, more than 30 businesses have registered their need to rent offices at ICT1 building with a total registered area of ​​about 25,000 m², exceeding the rental area of ​​ICT1 building.

According to Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City Le Trung Chinh, Da Nang aims to complete the construction of a smart city that synchronously connects smart urban networks in the country and the Southeast Asian region by 2030 and become a large, ecological and smart city, a center for startups, innovation and a livable coastal city of Asian regional standard by 2045 in the spirit of Resolution No. 43-NQ/TW of the Politburo.
