Moc Chau is about to enter plum season

According to the locals, the plum season in Moc Chau starts in May. The plums in season have plump skin, red flesh inside, and a crunchy bite that bursts with sweet and sour flavor in your mouth. Just thinking about it makes my soul numb.

Moc Chau ( Son La ) is considered the largest plum orchard in the country, plums are grown in many areas of the Farm town and Tan Lap commune. In addition, in Na Ka - bordering Tan Lap commune and Moc Chau Farm is a plum valley of more than 100 hectares that will overwhelm you with clusters of fruit turning bright red thanks to the warm sunlight in the highlands.

You can buy them right at Moc Chau plum gardens or at shops along the way, including some points at Dinh Doc 75, Nhiet Doi resort area, or near DairyFarm, or Vuon Dao intersection, near Moc Chau Food specialty supermarket.

Na Ka plum valley is about 20km from Moc Chau farm town. From town, turn towards Tan Lap commune, when you see the sign pointing to Tan Lap, turn left, go about 1km to reach Na Ka plum valley.

Na Ka is the pride of Moc Chau people, impressing visitors from near and far with its space of more than 100 hectares of plums. Plums in Na Ka are grown, cared for and harvested by the people themselves. The plums in early summer begin to ripen evenly and this is also the starting point for the annual "plum picking" festival held in Moc Chau.

Mu Nau Plum Valley is a little-known place because it is quite difficult to find, because if you search Google Maps, it will point to Karaoke Pho Nui. You just go there and ask the locals for directions, or you can ask someone you know in Moc Chau to take you there because they are more familiar with the terrain.

Mu Nau plum forest is considered the roof of Moc Chau with an altitude of 1,500m above sea level. The landscape here is still wild, there are not many motels or homestays, so it is very suitable for those who want to return to nature. This plum area is grown by the people themselves, the road to get there is steep and a bit difficult to go, but in return it is very beautiful and wide, especially not too crowded.
