According to Mr. Tuan, at the end of November 2023, the Minister of Construction issued Decision 1196 on the 2024 inspection plan in the construction sector. In it, Mr. Tuan revealed that the 2024 construction inspection plan will focus on sensitive issues that are prone to corruption and prominent issues of public concern.

Specifically, the Ministry of Construction Inspectorate will conduct administrative inspections of the implementation of policies, laws, assigned tasks and powers, and administrative procedure reform work at units under the Ministry.

This unit also conducts specialized inspections of state management of the construction sector in areas such as construction management, real estate business activities; and construction of technical infrastructure and social infrastructure systems in a number of provinces and centrally run cities.

The Ministry Inspectorate will also inspect the management of construction investment activities at a number of corporations, project management board investors, and general companies under ministries and branches.

In addition, the Construction Ministry Inspectorate will conduct a number of inspections and checks on the implementation of inspection conclusions and conduct inspections and verifications of complaints and urge the implementation of legally effective complaint settlement decisions.

Mr. Tuan affirmed that the inspection of construction projects related to business activities will be strict and in compliance with the law. Any violations or corruption detected will be strictly handled.

At the same time, during the inspection process, if any difficulties or problems are discovered, written recommendations will be sent to other competent authorities for resolution.

“We will strictly handle violations by businesses, thereby guiding businesses to comply with the law. It is expected that in 2024, we will have 2-4 large-scale inspections to verify arising complaints and lawsuits,” said Mr. Tuan.
