Contribute efforts and money for the common good
Willing to sacrifice personal interests for the common good of the community, dozens of households in Dong village, Dao Vien commune voluntarily donated land, money, and labor to widen village roads, creating a new, spacious rural appearance.

Comrade Nguyen Van Hung, Secretary of the village Party Cell, said: “At the end of 2024, the village has a policy of mobilizing people to donate land to expand village roads and alleys. To gain high consensus, the village organized meetings, propaganda, and explanations so that people understand the benefits of expanding roads. For some households with many concerns, the Propaganda Team directly went to each family to listen to opinions and recommendations, patiently explained and persuaded. Thanks to that, people agreed to respond, and up to now, dozens of households have voluntarily donated and registered to donate nearly 100 square meters of land at key locations of village roads and alleys.”
"The emulation movements launched by the Fatherland Front at all levels have received positive responses from all walks of life. Thereby, affirming the core role of the front in building and promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc; arousing the spirit of patriotism and "mutual love" in the community. In the coming time, the Fatherland Front at all levels in the province will continue to develop emulation movements extensively; regularly pay attention to discovering and replicating models, typical examples, good and creative practices... Thereby promoting and encouraging the movement, creating motivation to successfully complete the tasks of socio -economic development, ensuring local security and defense" - Ms. Pham Thi Minh Hai, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Social Work Department, Provincial Fatherland Front Committee. |
With the spirit of "The State and the People work together", nearly 40 households in Son Dong village, Dong Tien commune voluntarily donated nearly 1,000 m2 of land, demolished more than 2,000 m2 of auxiliary works, and participated in nearly 1,000 working days to expand the traffic road. Previously, the village road surface was 1.5 m - 2 m wide, now it has been expanded to 4.5 m or more, creating convenience for people to travel. Mr. Nguyen Phi Hong, a villager, confided: "Although "an inch of land is an inch of gold", but with the desire for the development of the homeland, my family voluntarily donated more than 30 m2 of land to the locality. The village road has been expanded, making travel more convenient for my family and the villagers, gradually improving the quality of life".
As in Dong village and Son Dong village, in recent years, the movement of donating land to build roads in the province has spread widely. In many localities, many households are willing to contribute money, dismantle fences and structures on land, donate land; organizations mobilize union members, association members and people to contribute "community working days"... contributing to building the appearance of rural and urban areas to be more spacious, modern and civilized.

Multiplying the spirit of "mutual love and support"
With profound humanitarian meaning, the movements "The whole country joins hands for the poor - No one is left behind", "Join hands to eliminate temporary houses, dilapidated houses" are actively responded to by agencies, units, businesses and people of all walks of life. With the spirit of "Millions of loving hearts - Thousands of happy homes", in 2024 and 2025, the whole province will have more than 2,500 poor and near-poor households, and meritorious people facing housing difficulties. Policy beneficiaries are supported to build, repair and eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses with a total cost of more than 150 billion VND from the state budget, the "For the Poor" Fund, the "Social Security" Fund and contributions from agencies, units, businesses and people of all walks of life.
Representatives of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of Phu Khe ward presented financial support to remove temporary and dilapidated houses to Mrs. Ngo Thi Son's household in Phu Khe Thuong quarter. |
In Phu Khe ward, 2 poor households received support to remove temporary and dilapidated houses. In addition to 150 million VND from the "For the Poor at all levels" Fund, the ward's Fatherland Front mobilized people to join hands to support funds to help families build houses. In just 1 month of implementation (December 2024), people supported each household with 53.5 million VND. The family of Ms. Ngo Thi Son (born in 1964) in Phu Khe Thuong quarter is in very difficult circumstances. Ms. Son is in poor health, her eldest son is mentally disabled. The life of her 3 children depends only on 5 sao of rice fields and the seasonal income of her youngest son. Thanks to the support of the Fatherland Front at all levels and kind-hearted people, in early 2025, Ms. Son was able to build a new house with an area of nearly 50 m2 . Mrs. Son excitedly said: “Before, my family lived in an old tiled house, which leaked and got wet every time it rained, and we had to move our furniture everywhere. I am extremely grateful to the authorities, sectors, and people in the ward for supporting us with more than 200 million VND to build a new house. From now on, my three children and I no longer have to worry every time there is heavy rain or strong wind.”
The family of Mr. Tran Van Cap, Ho Vau village, Lang Giang commune, is in a pitiful situation. Mr. Cap is often sick, has no stable job, and is supporting his elderly mother and a son with poor health. Mr. Cap's dream of a "settle down" home has come true when the Political Department of Military Region 1 and the Mass Mobilization Committee of the 6 (former) provinces, including Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Thai Nguyen, Bac Giang, Bac Ninh and Lang Son, supported him with 150 million VND. Along with the help of labor days and construction materials from officers, soldiers, militia and self-defense forces of the Provincial Military Command and the people, his family has been helped to build a spacious and comfortable house.
Along with promoting the movement of donating land to open roads and taking care of the poor, in recent years the Campaigns "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" and the movements: "All people participate in protecting national security", "Join hands to protect the environment"... have brought practical benefits to society. Ms. Pham Thi Minh Hai, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Social Work Department, Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, assessed: "The emulation movements launched by the Fatherland Front at all levels have received positive responses from all walks of life. Thereby, affirming the core role of the front in building and promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc; arousing the spirit of patriotism, "mutual love and affection" in the community. In the coming time, the Fatherland Front at all levels in the province will continue to develop emulation movements extensively; regularly pay attention to discovering and replicating models, typical examples, good and creative practices... Thereby promoting and encouraging the movement, creating motivation to successfully complete the tasks of socio-economic development, ensuring local security and defense".
