Male student lying on stretcher taking exam in Hanoi hopes to pass dream university

(Dan Tri) - The male student who caused a stir when he was carried to school on a stretcher to take the high school graduation exam recently passed his graduation exam. He hopes to be admitted to Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports as he dreamed.

Sharing with Dan Tri reporter this morning (August 1), Mr. Nguyen Anh Tham, parent of Nguyen Trung Kien (Tay Tuu Ward, Hanoi) said that his son passed the high school graduation exam in 2025. The family is waiting for the admission results to Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports .

In this year’s high school graduation exam, Kien registered for 4 subjects: math, literature, history, economic education and law. According to Mr. Tham, Kien is qualified to pass high school graduation.

Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports admits students based on academic records and aptitude test scores.

With the results of the aptitude test: 7.25 points in the bodybuilding test; 8.25 points in the on-the-spot long jump; 9.25 points in the 100m run, Kien's family hopes he will pass the entrance exam to his dream school.

“Regarding health, because of practicing sports a lot, my son recovered quite quickly. He is very talented in sports so he only has one wish: to enter Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports.

I asked my child: "Why don't you have more wishes?" He said: "I just want to get into that school"!

If he fails, maybe his family will let him learn a trade or continue studying to retake the exam next year," said Mr. Tham.

Dan Tri reported that in the recent high school graduation exam, at the Me Tri Secondary School exam site, Nguyen Trung Kien caused strong emotions when his family and medical staff carried him to the exam room on a stretcher because he had previously been in a traffic accident.

The collision caused Kien to suffer a cervical spine injury, a broken first rib and pleural effusion.

In order to be able to take the final exam in the high school graduation exam, the family applied for permission from the hospital to temporarily let Kien leave the hospital to go to the exam site. Mr. Tham shared that although he knew his son was in a lot of pain, he still wanted to take the exam so the family tried to take him to school as he wished.

During the exam, Kien received enthusiastic support from the exam board and invigilators.
