Improve the competitiveness of agricultural products

HNN.VN - On the afternoon of August 28, at Nguyen Dinh Chieu walking street (Thuan Hoa ward), the City Farmers' Association organized the opening ceremony of the 2025 Agricultural Products Market to introduce and promote typical agricultural products, OCOP products and local specialties to people and tourists.

Taking place over 3 days (from August 28 to 30), the fair attracted the participation of 28 booths of farmers from 25 communes and wards and 7 enterprises and production facilities. The booths were designed and displayed in a variety of products certified by VietGAP, organic, OCOP, products that ensure food safety and hygiene, and introduced new, creative agricultural models and good practices in collective economic development.

The 2025 agricultural market in Hue city aims to promote trade and stimulate consumption; is an opportunity for units, enterprises, cooperatives, farms, good farming households in the city and some units to promote, introduce and find outlets for typical agricultural products, handicrafts, and quality OCOP products. From there, it will encourage farmer members to actively develop production and business, unite to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty.

Crowds of people and tourists come to the market

This is one of the practical activities responding to the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" launched annually by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue city, at the same time aiming to introduce and promote local specialties to people and tourists. The market is also an opportunity for farmer members, businesses, and production facilities to learn about consumer tastes, thereby having appropriate production and business strategies to meet the increasing demand of the market.

The annual agricultural market organized by the Hue City Farmers' Association aims to help establishments, cooperatives, businesses, and good farmers meet, exchange, learn from each other's experiences, and connect with each other for trade. This will give them the opportunity to see, evaluate, and compare the quality and design of local products, change their mindset from agricultural production to agricultural economics, and contribute to improving the quality, brand of products, and competitiveness in the market.

At the opening ceremony, the Organizing Committee presented awards for the third week of the online contest to learn about the movement "Farmers compete in production, good business, unite to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty" to the most outstanding contestants.
