Russia attacks Ukraine's defense lines; retaliatory attacks against Kiev,... are notable news in the Russia-Ukraine war bulletin on the afternoon of March 6.

Russia launched a strong attack on a Ukrainian hotel

Updating the situation of the Russia-Ukraine war, the Ukrinform news agency quoted information from the General Staff of the Ukrainian army that on March 5, Russian forces launched a missile attack on a hotel in the city of Kryvyi Rih (Dnipropetrovsk province), causing heavy casualties. On the same day, across the entire front line, there were 59 clashes taking place in 5 areas, including the city of Vovchansk (Kharkiv province), where Russia is trying to penetrate the Ukrainian defense line.

In Sumy province, Russia is said to be trying to cut off Ukraine's supply lines to Kursk. According to Andriy Demchenko, a spokesman for the Ukrainian Border Guard Service, the enemy is trying to cross the border in small groups to concentrate their forces. However, the Ukrainian military claims to have stopped this plan.

Meanwhile, on the Zaporizhzhia front, the Russian army continued to expand its offensive towards the village of Pryvilne. In response, the Ukrainian Defense Forces announced that they had shot down 115 Russian UAVs during the night, of which 55 were decoy UAVs that disappeared from radar without causing damage.

According to the Ukrainian General Staff, since the beginning of the conflict, Russia has lost about 880,660 troops, including 1,250 casualties on March 5 alone. Moscow has not commented on this information.

Russia tightens siege in Bilohorivka, blocking Ukraine's supply route

According to TASS news agency, Russian military experts claimed that the entire supply line of Ukrainian forces in Bilohorivka was within range of Russian artillery.

Expert Andrei Marochko said Russian soldiers are strengthening their tactical positions and closely monitoring all roads leading into the area.

“We monitor the situation 24/7 and will respond immediately if there are any changes,” Mr. Marochko emphasized.

Ukrainian officials have not commented on the statement. According to Deep State, a war map updated on March 5 shows that almost all of Bilohorivka is in the gray zone – an area where fierce fighting is taking place between the two sides.

Ukrainian soldiers exhausted after US cut aid

Ukrainian soldiers admit their morale is low and casualties are rising after the US suspended military aid, the Telegraph reported.

Artem, a 30-year-old medic who transports wounded soldiers, said the number of casualties had risen by about 20% in recent weeks and could rise further. “Warmer weather means more intense fighting,” he warned. Aleksander, a 34-year-old soldier who has fought without rotation for three years, acknowledged that morale among his comrades was low, but they were determined to stick it out for their families and their country.

The US's suspension of intelligence sharing has also added to Ukrainian soldiers' worries.

The White House has said it could resume aid if Ukraine returns to the negotiating table, a move President Zelensky has accepted. However, troops on the front lines fear that even if the aid is restored, it may be too late to reverse the situation.
