See funny wildlife photos in world competition

A sense of humor is a uniquely human emotion, but newly released photos from the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards might make us think again.

In fact, research has found that some animals can actually use humor to strengthen their relationships. Many species are capable of love, fear, grief, guilt, anger, shame, disgust, and empathy, while primates, for example, can smile...

The 2025 Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards competition attracted thousands of entries from around the world . The shortlist for the award will be announced in October, with the winner revealed later this year. Here are some of the standout images from the competition:
