About 2 km from Hoang Tru is Uncle Ho's paternal hometown Sen village. This place witnessed Uncle Ho's childhood from 1901 to 1906. The mausoleum of Hoang Thi Loan is located halfway up Dong Tranh mountain, in Dai Hue range in Nam Giang commune, Nam Dan district. The road leading to the mausoleum consists of 269 stone steps. The mausoleum was established in 1942, when Mr. Nguyen Sinh Khiem, Uncle Ho's brother, brought his mother's remains here for burial.
When visiting Uncle Ho's hometown, tourists also have the opportunity to visit Chung Son peak (Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan), a place associated with many memories of his childhood.
