Thanh Hoa Education Department proposes to support nearly 198 billion VND to overcome flood consequences

GD&TĐ - The Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa province has just issued a document proposing to support nearly 198 billion VND to overcome the consequences of storms and floods for schools in the area.

Implementing the direction of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee in Official Dispatch No. 17074/UBND-KTTC dated October 6, 2025 on assigning the implementation of Decision No. 2171/QD-TTg dated October 2, 2025 of the Prime Minister to support from the central budget reserve in 2025 for a number of localities to overcome the consequences of storm No. 10 and other natural disasters from the beginning of 2025, the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa province has reviewed and agreed on the proposed support level for educational institutions in the province damaged by storm No. 10 and other natural disasters from the beginning of 2025 is 197,920,394,358 VND.

Once approved, the funding will be allocated to 69 educational institutions in the province to purchase additional equipment and teaching aids, and repair facilities damaged by storm No. 10 and other natural disasters from the beginning of 2025.

Specifically, Cam Luong Primary and Secondary School (Cam Tu commune) moved to a new location with a cost of more than 18 billion VND; Co Lung Primary School (Co Lung commune) built a new one, bought new projectors with a cost of more than 20 billion VND; Lam Son Primary School (Lam Son commune) built 16 new classrooms with a cost of 20 billion VND; Ba Dinh High School built 3 new buildings, rebuilt the teachers' parking lot... with a cost of more than 40 billion VND....
