Attending the ceremony were Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Hong, Deputy Governors, leaders of departments, agencies, units and affiliated organizations in Hanoi .

Promoting the spirit of "mutual love", Governor Nguyen Thi Hong called on all cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the whole sector to actively participate in supporting people in areas affected by storm No. 10. Accordingly, heads of units under the State Bank of Vietnam are requested to mobilize 100% of cadres and workers to contribute at least one day's salary, and can also support in cash or other forms depending on conditions.

Previously, on October 2, 2025, the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front launched an appeal to mobilize all people to support compatriots to overcome the consequences of storm No. 10, in which it requested each cadre, civil servant, public employee, and person receiving salary from the State budget to contribute at least one day's salary to support people to soon stabilize their lives.

Governor Nguyen Thi Hong emphasized that over the years, the banking sector has always been proactive and active in supporting and sharing difficulties with people and businesses affected by natural disasters and storms. In 2024, the entire sector donated more than VND 85 billion to support people affected by natural disasters; from 2020 to now, the amount of money donated to overcome the consequences of natural disasters by the sector has exceeded VND 500 billion.

In addition to fundraising activities, the State Bank has also synchronously deployed practical support solutions to remove difficulties for people and businesses in severely affected areas. On October 2, 2025, the State Bank issued Official Dispatch No. 8622/NHNN-TD requesting credit institutions to proactively review and support loan customers who have suffered losses. Forms of support include restructuring debt repayment terms, considering interest exemptions and reductions, providing new loans to restore production and providing guidance on completing debt settlement dossiers according to current regulations.

Along with that, the State Bank branches in the regions are assigned to direct and supervise the implementation of support from credit institutions in the area; closely coordinate with local authorities to promptly advise and propose solutions to help people quickly overcome the consequences of storms and floods.

"These practical actions have become a good tradition and carry profound humanistic meaning in the banking industry. I hope that every cadre, civil servant, public employee and worker in the entire industry will continue to promote that spirit and make more practical contributions to help people in affected areas," the Governor said at the launching ceremony.

Immediately after the ceremony, the State Bank Office was assigned to provide specific instructions on how to contribute, summarize results and transfer donations to the account designated by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, ensuring publicity, transparency and timeliness.
