On September 30, at the comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai memorial site, Nghe An Relic Management Board held a flower and incense offering ceremony to commemorate the 115th anniversary of her birth (September 30, 1910 - September 30, 2025).
Revolutionary woman Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, real name Nguyen Thi Vinh, was born on September 30, 1910 in Nghe An, a land rich in patriotic and revolutionary traditions. From the age of 16, she joined the revolutionary movement, becoming one of the Party's outstanding female communist soldiers.
During his career, he participated in many patriotic organizations and later became a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam .
The female revolutionary made great contributions to the Nghe Tinh Soviet movement, worked at the Eastern Branch Office of the Communist International in China, attended the 7th Congress of the Communist International in Moscow in 1935 and presented an important paper on the role of Indochinese women in the national liberation revolution.
In 1937, he was appointed Secretary of the Saigon - Cho Lon City Party Committee, becoming one of the key leaders of the Southern revolutionary movement.
On July 30, 1940, he was arrested by the French colonialists while preparing for an uprising with the Southern Regional Party Committee.
Despite being sentenced to death, she remained steadfast and indomitable. In the early morning of August 26, 1941, at Gieng Nuoc Hospital (now Hoc Mon Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City), comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai heroically sacrificed herself at the age of 31, after 15 years of persistent and resilient revolutionary activities.
The 115th anniversary of the birth of comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai is an opportunity for the Party Committee, government and people of Nghe An and the whole country to review the life and glorious revolutionary career of the staunch female communist soldier.
This is also a reminder for today's generations to continue tradition, uphold the spirit of self-reliance, self-improvement, practice revolutionary ethics, and be ready to contribute to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
