Accordingly, the People's Committee of Nghe An province has lifted the ban on boats going out to sea during storm No. 10, allowing fishermen to go out to sea to exploit, catch aquatic products and operate at sea from 4 p.m. on September 30. However, boat and ship owners must regularly monitor weather forecasts to proactively prevent and promptly handle the worst possible situations, maintain contact with their families, the People's Committees of communes, wards and related units.
Previously, due to the complicated developments of storm No. 10 (storm Bualoi), to proactively respond and protect the safety of fishermen and vehicles, the People's Committee of Nghe An province issued an urgent dispatch, requesting to ban all types of boats and means of transport from going to sea from 5:00 a.m. on September 27.
Nghe An province has more than 80 km of coastline with 6 large estuaries. The locality currently has nearly 2,820 vessels and boats with about 13,070 fishing workers.
