Suffocating in front of gold shops, hundreds of people lined up to buy gold in Hanoi

(NLDO) - At 9:00 a.m. on September 4, hundreds of people lined up at Bao Tin Minh Chau gold shop on Cau Giay street, Hanoi.

Opening the trading session at 9:00 a.m., many businesses adjusted their prices up by about 1 million VND/tael compared to yesterday, with the selling price of gold rings reaching 129.5 million VND/tael.

The number of customers coming to the store is increasing day by day.

Many people lined up from early morning but at 9 o'clock still had not received a number to transact

The price of gold rings continues to reach a historical high, but many customers still decide to buy. Many people said they went there at 7am, waited in line for several hours, but after 9am they still did not know whether they could buy gold or not.

Ms. Thu Phuong, Dong Anh commune, Hanoi , said she left home at 6am and waited for more than 2 hours at Bao Tin Minh Chau store in Cau Giay, but did not know if she could buy gold.

In recent days, although the price of gold has skyrocketed, many people still decide to buy and store.

Meanwhile, Bao Tin Minh Chau only sells 1 tael per person, and announced that it was sold out after half an hour of opening.

Not only gold, silver is also out of stock

Other gold shops like Doij's in Cau Giay are deserted because they have run out of gold rings and are not selling gold bars.

Not only gold but also silver is in short supply at a time when prices are skyrocketing, approaching the 43 million VND/kg mark, the highest level in history. Phu Quy representative said that customers buying gold and silver must place orders in advance.

Many people lined up in front of the gold shop since morning.
