Suspect fired back when police raided drug den

On December 26, Thanh Khe District Police temporarily detained Nguyen Dang Truong, Tran Thien Phuoc, Truong Anh Quang (all residing in Chinh Gian Ward, Thanh Khe District) and Nguyen Trong Tu (suspects aged 19 to 21, residing in Nam Duong Ward, Hai Chau District) for illegal drug trafficking. Truong was the ringleader.

According to the Drug Crime Investigation Police Team of Thanh Khe District Police, previously, the reconnaissance force had information that in Chinh Gian Ward, a number of people were regularly suspected of engaging in drug-related activities.

Thanh Khe District Police arrested 4 suspects

The team proposed and was allowed by the Thanh Khe District Police to establish a special project to fight. On the night of December 25, the detectives raided a house in alley 77 Le Do Street (Chinh Gian Ward), catching Truong's group red-handed illegally trading drugs.

Surrounded by the district police, Truong suddenly opened fire and barricaded himself in. When the reconnaissance force took his gun, Truong pulled out a knife to fight back and dropped the knife.

Seized drug evidence

Truong stubbornly ran to the house next door and fell into the narrow gap between the two houses. Thanh Khe District Police mobilized the Fire Police and Rescue Team to break down the wall of the house next door to get Truong out.

At the police station, Truong initially remained uncooperative. However, with the evidence gathered and the struggle of the police force, Truong admitted to buying large quantities of drugs to resell for profit.

The rifle used to fight back against the police force

The school also hired people to install surveillance cameras around the house to detect police surveillance.

Quang, Truong's accomplice, mixed many types of drugs with the aim of making new drugs that were easy to disguise and infiltrate into venues, aiming to sell to party-goers in nightlife and entertainment areas.

In addition to the 4 suspects in the ring, at the time of the arrest, Thanh Khe District Police also discovered 4 more drug users organizing illegal drug use at Truong's house.

4 gamblers were detained

The four detained gamblers include: HVD (15 years old, residing in Man Thai Ward, Son Tra District), Dang Tuan Khanh (21 years old, residing in My An Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District), Que Xuan Phong (30 years old, residing in Xuan Ha Ward, Thanh Khe District) and Dang Van Thanh (20 years old, residing in Hoa Thuan Dong Ward, Hai Chau District).

Seized evidence included 99 ecstasy pills, 27 packages of Ketamine trays, 2 packages of synthetic drugs in tea form and several packages of methamphetamine in liquid form, 1 revolver gun, 1 homemade knife, 1 pepper spray.

Thanh Khe District Police are currently consolidating records to prosecute the suspects.
