On October 21, at the Po Sah Inư tower relic site (Phu Thuy ward, Lam Dong province), the 2025 Kate Festival of the Cham people opened in a bustling, joyful atmosphere.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Dinh Van Tuan - Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee - said that this year's Kate Festival is not only an opportunity for people to express their beliefs and the beauty of folk culture, but also a meaningful activity to celebrate the success of the 1st Lam Dong Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.

According to Mr. Tuan, the restoration and maintenance of the Kate Festival from 2005 to present not only meets the spiritual needs of the Cham people, but also contributes to preserving the values ​​of folk culture and religion, becoming the soul of spiritual life.

He said that after the merger, Lam Dong province is the largest locality in the country, with 49 ethnic groups living together, stretching from the Central Highlands mountains to coastal communes, with diverse and rich customs and practices.

The Cham people in the province alone have over 43,000 people, living concentrated in communes in the old Binh Thuan area.

Most of the historical and cultural relics of the Cham people ranked in the province in recent years have effectively promoted their value.

Among them, many relics have become indispensable destinations in tours and tourist routes, attracting a large number of domestic and foreign tourists such as: Po Sah Inư Tower Relic, Cham Royal Cultural Heritage Collection, Po Nit Temple...

In addition, there are 2 heritages included in the List of National Intangible Cultural Heritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, including: Traditional pottery craft of the Cham people in Binh Duc village, Bac Binh commune and Kate Festival of the Cham people in Binh Thuan province.

Most recently, the Golden Linga and the Avalokitesvara statue of Bac Binh were recognized as two national treasures.

After the opening ceremony, there will be a ceremony to bring the goddess Po Sah Inư's costume to the main tower. Here, many rituals will begin to open the tower, bathe the Linga - Yoni altar, put on costumes and a grand ceremony to thank the goddess Po Sah Inư and the gods at tower A.
