Ms. Tran Le Thi Hue Linh (49 years old) brought to the food stall a "crispy on the outside, spongy on the inside" cake to introduce to diners. This is a famous specialty cake originating from Go Cong ( Tien Giang ). Ms. Linh in Can Tho City has enjoyed this famous cake many times.
"There are bean sprouts in the cake filling, but with the hot weather of the South, it is difficult to preserve them, so in the process of learning and creating, I used sweet potatoes instead of bean sprouts. I hope everyone will enjoy and remember my cake. I still decided to keep the old name of the cake and be more creative with the ingredients and the way of making it to suit the taste of diners in many places," said Ms. Linh.
The cake dish is chosen by many diners.
Ms. Tran Thi Hong Loan (52 years old) from Hue has introduced traditional cakes of the ancient capital in many programs and festivals. On this occasion, she also personally made special cakes for people in Ho Chi Minh City to know and enjoy. Her stall has shrimp-filled tapioca dumplings, it cakes, jumping shrimp cakes, green banana noodles served with crab and shrimp patties, etc.
"I hope to spread Hue's dishes to many diners and furthermore, the culture and cuisine of the regions will be accessible and enjoyed by foreign tourists," the woman shared.

Mrs. Hiep (59 years old), who has lived in the US since 1989, came to Ho Chi Minh City to visit her relatives and family. She came to the traditional cake festival to rediscover the taste of Southern cakes after many years away.
"I like to eat cakes with coconut water, so I choose to buy cakes like sponge cake, banana cake, etc. On previous occasions when I went to Vietnam, there were no traditional cake festivals like this, so I only went to Ben Thanh market to eat sweet soup. These cakes are also sold abroad, but they are not delicious and do not have the taste I want. When I go to the stalls and see that all the cakes are delicious, I will visit and choose other types of cakes," Ms. Hiep said.
