Ea Sup commune residents voluntarily hand over rare animals

Ea Sup Commune People's Committee, Commune Police and Ea Sup Area Forest Protection Department have just coordinated to receive a Burmese kite voluntarily handed over by a local resident.

Specifically, recently, the Party Committee and government of Ea Sup commune and the Ea Sup Regional Forest Protection Department have stepped up propaganda work on laws on forest and wildlife protection.

After understanding the regulations on wildlife protection, Mr. Vu Van Hong (Thanh Cong village, Ea Sup commune) reported and completed procedures to hand over the Burmese kite to the authorities.

Representatives of the government and functional agencies of Ea Sup commune received an individual Burmese kite voluntarily handed over by the people.

This animal was born and raised by his family in the house, currently weighing 2 kg. After receiving it, this rare animal will be handed over to a specialized unit for care and release into the natural environment.

The Burmese buzzard has the scientific name Spilornis cheela. This animal has been listed in the IUCN Red List (the most comprehensive list of conservation status and diversity of animals and plants in the world) since 2016 and is a rare wild animal that needs to be protected.
