This morning (October 28), cold air continues to affect Hanoi, temperatures drop to 18 - 21 degrees Celsius.

Since 7am, many streets in the capital such as Ho Tung Mau, Dao Tan, Cau Giay... have been stuck in traffic jams, making it difficult for people to move around.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Hoang (Cau Giay district) said: "The weather turned cold so I woke up late and went to work late, so I was stuck in traffic. It took me nearly 40 minutes to go from my house to my workplace in Hoang Quoc Viet, which is only more than 3km," Mr. Hoang added.

The cold weather and heavy traffic during morning rush hour make it difficult for people to move around.

Windbreakers, life jackets, scarves, woolen hats... are prepared by people in the capital before leaving home.

As a long-time resident of Hanoi, Mr. Le Van Hieu (left) is very familiar with Hanoi's weather. He said: "I have checked the weather forecast so I prepared a windbreaker to ensure my health but it is still quite cold."

Even though it was predicted, many people were still surprised by how quickly the cold came.

People waiting at bus stops all prepare warm clothes to cope with the early cold wind of the season.

Ms. Le Kim Ngan (Ba Dinh district) said that even though she had prepared a thin coat, she still felt cold because the temperature dropped quickly.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, Hanoi's weather in the next 3 days (October 28-30) will be affected by increased cold air, so the area will have showers and cold weather, then no rain and a slight increase in temperature.
