As reported, in the early morning of June 11, a group of people armed with guns, knives, grenades, and petrol bombs attacked the headquarters of Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur communes in Cu Kuin district ( Dak Lak ), causing casualties to a number of police officers, commune officials, and residents.
Under the direction of the Ministry of Public Security and Dak Lak province’s departments, many forces quickly took action to capture the perpetrators. As of the afternoon of June 13, a total of 45 people had been arrested.
In addition to capturing the subjects and ensuring people's safety, after the incident, the Party Committee and Government of Dak Lak province and Cu Kuin district quickly visited and encouraged families with victims.
On the morning of June 12, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang led a Government delegation to directly visit and encourage families of victims after a group of people attacked the headquarters of two communes.
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang signed a decision to award the "Fatherland's Gratitude" certificate to six martyrs who died on June 11 in the attack on the headquarters of two communes, Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur, including four martyrs who were police officers and two martyrs who were commune officials.
The Central Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union posthumously awarded the Brave Youth Badge to three officers: Captain Nguyen Dang Nhan (born in 1994), police officer of Ea Ktur commune; Major Tran Quoc Thang (born in 1989), police officer of Ea Tieu commune; Captain Ha Tuan Anh (born in 1991), police officer of Ea Tieu commune, who bravely sacrificed their lives while performing the task of protecting security, order and social safety in Cu Kuin district (Dak Lak).
The Central Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union also awarded the Brave Youth Badge to two people, including: Senior Lieutenant Doan Dinh Bop, an officer of the Ea Ktur Commune Police; Senior Lieutenant Le Kien Cuong, an officer of the Ea Ktur Commune Police.
On June 12, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dak Lak province issued a letter calling on people, comrades, and soldiers in the province to unite and trust in the Party's guidelines and policies, the leadership of Party committees, and the administration of authorities at all levels.
