Efforts to overcome difficulties, flexibly implementing two-session teaching/day
Established in 1962, Cam Xuyen High School (Ha Tinh) has over 63 years of construction and development, and is a bright spot in education in this studious land. However, after decades of use, the school's facilities have seriously degraded.
At the end of the 2024-2025 school year, the two-story building H1 with 12 classrooms was determined to no longer be safe. After the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Education and Training assessed, the school was forced to seal it off and switch to two-shift teaching.
Entering the new school year 2025-2026, the policy of the sector is to organize two-session teaching/day to meet the requirements of comprehensive educational reform. The school currently has 35 classes with 1,351 students, while there are only 25 classrooms, 10 classrooms short of two-session teaching/day.
Not only are there a shortage of classrooms, many other items are also severely damaged: the floor and podium are peeling; the electrical system and cooling fans are degraded, posing a potential safety risk; the student parking lot is narrow and has been degraded since 2008.

Faced with such difficulties, the Board of Directors has proactively made the most of existing facilities: flexibly rearranging subject classrooms, libraries, and principal offices to utilize them as main classrooms; at the same time repairing and purchasing additional teaching equipment to create the best conditions for students.

Along with improving facilities, the school innovates management, arranges a reasonable timetable, and effectively implements two-session teaching per day.
Mornings are for formal teaching; afternoons are for tutoring weak students, nurturing gifted students, and organizing experiential activities, career guidance, and life skills training.
Flexible methods help students consolidate knowledge, develop capacity, and meet the requirements of the 2018 General Education Program.
Promoting resources towards sustainable development goals
The spirit of solidarity and consensus among the teaching staff is the foundation that helps the school overcome difficulties. The teaching staff actively innovates teaching methods, applies information technology, and uses electronic learning materials to improve teaching efficiency and save costs in limited conditions.

The great joy of this school year is that the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province and the Department of Education and Training have approved the policy of building a new 3-storey building with 18 spacious and modern classrooms, replacing the degraded H1 building. In addition, the school yard roof of more than 1,000 square meters was completed with socialized resources from the cooperation of parents and students.
Parents and students also actively accompany the school, supporting funding for repairs and purchasing smart teaching equipment, contributing to improving the quality of teaching and learning.

Mr. Vo Huu Ha, Principal of Cam Xuyen High School, shared: "Difficulties in facilities are real, but with the spirit of initiative, creativity and attention from all levels, we believe that teaching two sessions a day will become increasingly effective, contributing to improving the quality of comprehensive education for students."
With the spirit of overcoming difficulties, creativity and unity, Cam Xuyen High School is gradually affirming its direction for sustainable development, continuing to spread the image of a traditional school that always knows how to turn challenges into motivation to rise up.
