HOT: More universities in Ho Chi Minh City announce floor scores

(NLDO) - Universities have announced their minimum scores and attractive scholarship programs for admitted students.

University of Science - VNU-HCM City

On the afternoon of July 17, the University of Science - VNU-HCM announced the minimum admission score based on high school graduation results and the results of the 2025 VNU-HCM Competency Assessment Exam (ĐGNL).

For the method of considering high school graduation exam scores, the minimum score for admission to majors is from 16-24 points.

For the method of considering the National High School Exam scores, the minimum score for admission to majors is from 600-850 points.

In addition, for the microchip design and semiconductor technology majors, the school applies additional requirements.

Specifically, candidates applying for admission based on high school graduation exam results must have a math score in the admission combination of 8.0 or higher, the total score of 3 admission subjects must be 24.0 or higher; candidates applying for admission based on the results of the National High School Graduation Exam of Ho Chi Minh City National University in 2025 must have an average math score of 3 years of high school of 8.0 or higher, the National High School Graduation score when converted to the 2025 High School score must be from 24.0 points according to the regulations of Ho Chi Minh City National University.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH)

HUTECH announced the minimum score for 4 admission methods as 15 points and 18 points. In which, the minimum score is 18 points for the admission method based on academic records; 15 points for the admission method based on high school graduation exam results, the results of the National University of Ho Chi Minh City's National University Admissions Test/VSAT exam.

For health-related industries, the input quality assurance threshold is implemented according to separate regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET).

In 2025, the school will enroll 61 diverse majors, including "hot" majors such as information technology, digital marketing, multimedia communications, graphic design, automotive engineering technology, logistics and supply chain management, business administration, English language, Japanese language, etc.

In addition, the school offers HUTECH Scholarships worth 25% of the full tuition fee to all candidates who meet one of three conditions: the average score of 3 subjects in the first semester of grade 12 is from 20 points or higher; the average score of 3 subjects in the whole year of grade 12 is from 20 points or higher; the average score of the whole year of grade 12 (multiplied by 3) is from 20 points or higher.

In 2025, HUTECH will enroll 61 majors.

Saigon International University (SIU)

In 2025, SIU will use 4 admission methods for candidates nationwide including: 12th grade transcripts; 2025 high school exam results; Ho Chi Minh City National University's National High School Exam results; direct admission, priority direct admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

With the admission method based on transcripts, candidates need to have good training results or higher and the total score of 3 subjects in the admission combination for the entire 12th grade year must be from 18 points or higher; With the admission method based on the National High School Exam, the minimum score required is from 600 points.

Compared to 2024, the floor score will decrease slightly by 1-2 points.

Van Hien University

With the admission method based on high school graduation exam scores, most majors of Van Hien University have a minimum admission score of 15 points. Some majors have higher requirements such as international relations and Vietnamese studies, requiring a minimum score of 16 points.

With the admission method using high school transcripts, the minimum score is 18 points or higher (plus priority points).

With the admission method using the National University of Ho Chi Minh City's High School Graduation Exam scores, the school takes a score of 600 points (except for nursing, vocal music and piano majors).

Specialized majors such as film and television directing, film and television technology, vocal music and piano are selected based on a combination of cultural subjects and talent exams organized by the school, with separate minimum scores for each exam.
