In a conversation with Dan Tri reporter, actress Thanh Hien said that many people are impressed with her because of her miserable roles, but in fact she has also played evil and villainous roles. According to her, as an actress, whether the role is evil or kind, it is still a role.
"Some people say I have kind eyes and a gentle face, and that I look very sympathetic when I play a kind role. But when I have to take on a villain role, I still have to accept it because they need me. Even if the pay is very low, I still accept it. I'm not rigid and only act when the pay is right," said actress Thanh Hien.
The actress confided that, in addition to TV dramas and movies, she is also willing to support students in their graduation films. A few years ago, the student internship had 12 films, and she acted in 9 of them. However, now, due to her schedule, she participates less than before.

Actress Thanh Hien also shared that when participating in any project, she wholeheartedly teaches and guides the young actors. She believes that although she herself is not a major in cinematography or directing, with many years of experience on set, she understands many things.
"I act in many TV dramas, so when someone invites me to act in a film, I ask about the schedule first. If it fits the schedule, I ask about the content and the director. Then you guys suggest the salary for me.
Each film crew and each project will be different. Those with money will pay more, those with less will pay less, it's not like I'll quit if I pay less," actress Thanh Hien shared.
She also said that thanks to her many movies, audiences are familiar with her, so when they meet her on the street, everyone "shakes hands and greets her."

At the age of 69, actress Thanh Hien lives with her husband and children in District 12 (HCMC). She can still go to shows by herself. She said that sometimes the film crew picks her up, but usually she takes the bus herself to be proactive with her time and work.
"When I ride a motorbike taxi, the drivers know me. When I get off the motorbike, they hold my hand and help me down, remove my helmet. They say, 'Mom, let me take a picture so I can show you, my wife and children when I get home.' One day, when I was driving home at midnight, under the dim streetlights, they still hugged me and asked to take a picture. I was very happy," she said.
When asked about her secret to staying healthy, the actress waved her hand. She said that thanks to acting, she is getting healthier and healthier, and that she has no secret. Even though she eats very little every day, she still functions well and has a clear mind.
The actor shared: "I don't eat much, and I'm old, my teeth are weak, so eating meat and fish is a bit painful. When I went to film, people in the crew said I ate like a cat (laughs)."
