The 10th Hanoi Book Fair - a cultural meeting place for book lovers

The 10th Hanoi Book Fair is a practical activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the 71st anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital, and the 26th anniversary of Hanoi being honored by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as a "City for Peace ".

Speaking at the opening of the Book Fair, comrade Truong Viet Dung, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, emphasized: "The Hanoi Book Fair has become a prestigious annual reading culture event, a 'festival of culture and knowledge', a meeting place for publishers, authors, and readers, contributing to the propaganda of the nation's historical, cultural, and revolutionary traditions, and pride in the traditions of the thousand-year-old capital, the heroic capital."

Comrade Truong Viet Dung, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee delivered the opening speech of the Book Fair.

Through its organization, the Hanoi Book Fair has become a festival of exchange between publishing units nationwide, a cultural meeting place for book lovers, contributing to spreading and improving reading culture to a large number of domestic readers as well as international tourists. The Book Fair is a place to connect and spread culture and knowledge, together creating strength to rise up in the new era, contributing to building elegant and civilized Hanoians.

The 10th Hanoi Book Fair will have many meaningful activities, such as: Display and exhibition activities with the theme "Thang Long - Hanoi: Aspiration to rise" with nearly 400 typical book titles, helping readers and visitors learn about publications about Thang Long - Hanoi, Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, the tradition of education and examinations, famous scholars, focusing on the Thang Long Thousand-Year-Old Cultural Bookcase, the electronic version of the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam Bookcase; Mobile Library space introducing the history, culture, heritage and people of Hanoi; International book booth, introducing books, cultural publications of Laos and foreign language books...

In addition, this year's Book Fair also has activities organized for the first time to bring readers new experiences with digital transformation applications in publishing and cultural industry activities such as: e-books, multi-function books, interactive Q&A with the AI Turtle, experience VR360 virtual reality technology, interactive GIS applications to look up information about the latest 34 provinces and cities, view convenient digital maps, instructions on printing Doctor's Stele patterns, practice traditional book sewing...
