After a journey of nearly 7 months, from nearly 1,000 applications, through preliminary rounds, 6 reality TV episodes, on the evening of July 19, the final night of Miss Vietnam Student 2024 officially took place in Ho Chi Minh City.
The final jury panel includes: journalist Lam Hieu Dung, Professor of Anthropometry Mai Van Hung, supermodel Thanh Hang, businesswoman Nguyen Thi Thuy Nga, businesswoman Pham Kim Dung, CEO Tran Viet Bao Hoang, journalist Ngo Ba Luc, Miss Intercontinental 2022 Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc, designer Nguyen Minh Tuan.
In the final round, 39 contestants went through many rounds. At the beginning, the contestants performed Ao Dai, gracefully in the collection " Colors of Youth" by designer Trung Dinh.
Next, the Top 20 contestants were selected to perform in Evening Gown, The top 11 contestants of the Young Intellectuals' Voice contest expressed their views on the role of the young generation towards the Fatherland.
After this round, the Organizing Committee will select the Top 5 to compete in the Industry Voice round, presenting and spreading the passion and value of the field of study they are pursuing.
Finally, the Top 3 contestants were selected to compete in the Behavior round , answering the same question: "What would you say to inspire young people who feel indifferent to the country's issues, so that they understand that patriotism is not only an ideal but also an action every day?".
In the final result, female student Dang Quynh Anh from Hanoi Medical University was crowned. The new beauty queen received the crown, 250 million VND in cash, and a full scholarship to Korea.
Dang Quynh Anh is currently a third-year student majoring in Medicine, with impressive academic achievements and active participation in movement activities. Quynh Anh holds the role of Head of the Information and Communications Department of Hanoi Medical University, and has received many certificates of merit from the school and the City Student Association.
The first and second runner-up titles respectively belonged to two contestants: Nguyen Thi Phuong Thanh from Hanoi National University of Education, Nguyen Viet Hoai Nam from University of Finance and Marketing.
The Organizing Committee also awarded many additional prizes: Talented female student - Dao Le Uyen (Foreign Trade University, Ho Chi Minh City Campus 2); Female student with the most beautiful Ao Dai performance - Nguyen Viet Hoai Nam (University of Finance - Marketing); Female student with the best English speaking skills, Female student with a sense of charity - Nguyen Thi Thao Nhi (International University - VNU-HCM); Most favorite female student - Le Ngoc Nhu Quynh (University of Foreign Languages - Hue University). Total prize value is 1 billion VND.
With the theme "The Beauty of Intelligence", Miss Vietnam Student 2024 is not only a beauty contest but also a journey to spread knowledge. Producer Pharmacist Tien awarded 933 scholarships with a total value of 933 million VND to contestants during the reality TV filming process. During the final night, he presented 5 foreign language bookcases to the training units hosting the program, with a total value of 1 billion VND to promote reading culture and encourage learning.
