Passion for third language
As a second-year English language student at Tra Vinh University, Vo Hanh Nhung has continuously studied English and Korean bilingually and won second prize at the King Sejong Korean Speaking and Writing Contest 2024. Since then, Nhung has opened up opportunities for herself to experience culture through the Academic Exchange Program taking place in October 2024, in Seoul (South Korea).

Hanh Nhung said that the decision to study English was a new direction with many challenges. However, with her own efforts and guidance from teachers, Hanh Nhung gradually overcame the difficulties and achieved many academic achievements. In addition to studying in class, Hanh Nhung also actively participated in useful extracurricular activities at school. These activities helped the female student expand her knowledge and develop social skills.
“Besides English, I am also passionate about Korean and want to try my third language. Therefore, I researched the study materials myself with the help of teachers in the department and boldly tried my hand at the King Sejong Korean Speaking and Writing Contest in 2024,” Hanh Nhung shared.

The second prize at the "King Sejong Korean Speaking and Writing Contest 2024" is not only the result of hard work and talent, but will also be a stepping stone for Hanh Nhung to have more opportunities to experience, exchange and learn more.
Dream of going to the land of Kim Chi comes true
The academic exchange program in October 2024 in Seoul will be an opportunity for students to explore and experience the culture in the capital of Korea. Here, Hanh Nhung has the opportunity to be exposed to diverse cultures, while developing language skills and becoming more confident in international communication.
“Along with the support from my family, teachers and friends, it is also a great source of encouragement to help me overcome difficulties and challenges. The most important thing is to never give up, because every mistake is an opportunity to learn and improve. Therefore, whether I win or not, I think it is an opportunity to learn more for myself,” Hanh Nhung said.

After 3 rounds, competing with 26 teams from provinces and cities, Hanh Nhung and her friends went straight to the finals and won third place overall.
