Female Head of the Front Committee is dedicated to her work

Ms. Thom said that she used to teach at Thai Phien Primary School in the commune; she retired in 2011. In 2012, the people and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ha Dong village trusted her and assigned her to be the Head of the Village Front Committee until now.

In her position, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thom always upholds the sense of responsibility, well implementing the plans of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune and the tasks of the village.

“To propagate and mobilize people to comply well, first of all, those doing Front work need to be enthusiastic, exemplary, competent, prestigious, and grasp the Party's policies and guidelines and the State's laws and policies. Mobilization must be persistent, emotional, and reasonable so that people understand and actively participate, while at the same time focusing on putting the interests of the people and the community first,” Ms. Thom shared.

Along with being a leading role model in all activities, Ms. Thom and the village Party Committee actively propagated and mobilized her family and people to comply with the Party's policies, the State's laws and local regulations.

For example, mobilizing 100 households to donate land to expand and upgrade rural roads with a length of about 3km; consolidating 20ha of rice fields; cleaning village roads, planting flowers and ornamental plants, disposing of garbage in designated places; destroying mixed gardens and bamboo bushes to grow chrysanthemums to supply the market during the Lunar New Year. Thanks to that, village roads and alleys are always clean and beautiful, and people's lives are increasingly improved.

Not only that, Mrs. Thom also successfully resolved the conciliation work in her village. Many conflicts and lawsuits in the village were explained to her in a reasonable manner. In addition, she actively mobilized philanthropists and charity organizations to donate hundreds of gifts to near-poor families and lonely elderly people during Tet holiday.

In addition, Ms. Thom also mobilized people to unite, promote democracy, maintain discipline, build conventions, village covenants, cultural lifestyles, and mobilized people to join hands in building new rural areas.

“Working for the Front is like “serving a hundred families” and is very hard. There were times when I wanted to give up, but with the support of my family and the trust of the authorities at all levels, I have more confidence and motivation to complete the assigned tasks well. Besides, I feel excited when my hometown is developing more and more, the lives of the people are changing more and more, so I strive to work until I feel I can contribute to the best of my ability,” said Ms. Thom.

With her achievements, for many consecutive years, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thom has been awarded many certificates of merit by the Party Committee and authorities at all levels. In 2024, she was honored to be sent by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune to attend the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the town.

Mr. Nguyen Di - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Hoa commune said that Ms. Nguyen Thi Thom is one of the heads of the village Front Committee who has participated well in the local movement and maintained solidarity in the Party Committee. She and the Party Committee have mobilized people to well implement the Party's policies and the State's laws to successfully build a model new rural area.
