(Chinhphu.vn) - Mr. Nguyen Chien Thang, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, was appointed to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee.

On the morning of September 11, Quang Tri province held a ceremony to announce the Decision to appoint the Deputy Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

At the conference, Standing Committee member, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee Tran Vu Khiem announced the decision of the Secretariat on appointing comrade Nguyen Chien Thang, Standing Committee member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, term 2020-2025.

Mr. Nguyen Chien Thang, born in 1976, hometown in Dong Ha city, Quang Tri province (old); professional qualifications: University degree in Civil and Industrial Construction; Advanced degree in Political Theory.

Mr. Nguyen Chien Thang used to hold the positions of Chairman of Dong Ha City People's Committee, Secretary of Dong Ha City Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Quang Tri province (old). After merging Quang Binh province (old) and Quang Tri province (old) into Quang Tri province (new), the National Assembly Standing Committee appointed Mr. Nguyen Chien Thang to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Quang Tri province.

Presenting the decision and congratulating comrade Nguyen Chien Thang, Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee Le Ngoc Quang affirmed that the Secretariat's decision to appoint comrade Nguyen Chien Thang to the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee was not only the Central Committee's recognition of him personally, but also the attention and close direction of the Politburo and the Secretariat in the work of perfecting the key leadership team, creating conditions for Quang Tri province to improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party Committee, meeting the requirements of new tasks.

Quang Tri Provincial Party Secretary Le Ngoc Quang believes that Comrade Nguyen Chien Thang will continue to practice and promote the spirit of responsibility, dynamism, creativity, and setting an example, together with the Executive Committee and Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, to bring Quang Tri province to develop quickly and sustainably.
