Mr. Nguyen Khac Van is acting Editor-in-Chief of Saigon Giai Phong newspaper.

The Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee appointed six deputy editors-in-chief and assigned Deputy Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Khac Van as acting Editor-in-Chief of Saigon Giai Phong newspaper.

On the morning of September 26, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee held a ceremony to announce the personnel decisions. Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Phuoc Loc chaired the conference.

At the decision-giving ceremony, Mr. Duong Trong Hieu - Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Organization Committee - announced the decision of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee on appointing Mr. Nguyen Khac Van as Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Saigon Giai Phong newspaper; handing over the authority of Editor-in-Chief of Saigon Giai Phong newspaper until there is a person to hold this position.

The Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee also decided to appoint Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Anh, Ms. Bui Thi Hong Suong, Mr. Pham Van Truong, Mr. Truong Duc Nghia (former Editor-in-Chief of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Newspaper) and Mr. Le Minh Tung (former Editor-in-Chief of Binh Duong Newspaper) as Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper.

Thus, Saigon Giai Phong newspaper now has 6 deputy editors-in-chief, of which Mr. Nguyen Khac Van was assigned as Editor-in-Chief.

Mr. Nguyen Khac Van has a bachelor's degree in information technology, a master's degree in journalism and communication; and a senior degree in political theory and administration.

Mr. Van has held many positions at Saigon Giai Phong newspaper. From November 2022, he was appointed Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Saigon Giai Phong newspaper, previously he was the newspaper's Editorial Secretary.

In June 2024, he was assigned by the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee to be in charge of and manage the activities of Saigon Giai Phong newspaper.

The Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee also decided to transfer and appoint Mr. Nguyen Thanh Loi - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper - to hold the position of Director and Editor-in-Chief of Ho Chi Minh City General Publishing House.
