On August 19, OpenAI Company, the "father" of ChatGPT, launched a new service package called ChatGPT Go exclusively for the Indian market, with a fee of 399 rupees (equivalent to 4.57 USD) per month.

This is the cheapest ChatGPT subscription plan ever, launched by OpenAI to expand its presence and strengthen its foothold in its second largest market.

With nearly 1 billion internet users, India is a key market for global technology corporations, which often launch low-cost service packages to meet the demand for "reasonable prices".

According to OpenAI, ChatGPT Go allows users to send 10 times more messages and create images than the free version, while also providing faster response times. Users can increase their limits by subscribing to higher-tier plans.

Currently, ChatGPT Pro plan is priced at 19,900 rupees/month in India, while ChatGPT Plus is priced at 1,999 rupees/month. ChatGPT Go is considered a suitable choice for the group of users who want to access more advanced features at an affordable cost.

Earlier, CEO Sam Altman met with India's IT minister to discuss plans to build a low-cost AI ecosystem.

Mr. Altman asserted that India is currently OpenAI's second-largest market, after the US, and could very soon become the number one market.
