Outrage over 7th grade girl being stripped naked and beaten by group of friends to the point of hospitalization

(NLDO) - A 7th grade female student in Long An was stripped naked and beaten by a group of friends, requiring her to be hospitalized locally and then transferred to Ho Chi Minh City.

On January 8, authorities in Can Giuoc district, Long An province, investigated and invited people involved in the clip of a female student being beaten and stripped by a group of female friends in the district.

Previously, a clip was circulated on Facebook about a female student being surrounded by four female friends, who then used a helmet to hit her head repeatedly, kicked her in the face, stripped her naked, and dragged her hair through a deserted residential area. The incident caused a stir in public opinion, and many people were outraged.

Can Giuoc District Police quickly took action, determining that the incident occurred in a residential area in Can Giuoc town on January 4.

The person beaten in the clip is a 7th grade student at a middle school in Can Duoc district, Long An province.

Among those who participated in beating this 7th grade female student, there was a female student in 8th grade at a middle school in Can Giuoc district; the rest have all dropped out of school.

According to the leader of the Department of Education and Training (DET) of Long An province, the department has requested the Department of Education and Training of Can Giuoc and Can Duoc districts to verify the incident.

Accordingly, the Department of Education and Training of Can Duoc district said that through investigating the cause of the incident, the 7th grade female student had a conflict on social networks with some friends she played with in Can Giuoc district.

On the afternoon of January 4, a friend in Can Giuoc district called a 7th grade female student to a coffee shop to reconcile. However, when the 7th grade female student arrived at the meeting place to meet the group of friends, she was surrounded, beaten, and stripped.

After the incident, the 7th grade female student was taken to Can Giuoc District General Hospital for monitoring and care. Later, due to the health condition of the 7th grade female student showing signs of vomiting, the hospital recommended that her relatives transfer her to a hospital in Ho Chi Minh City for diagnosis.

Currently, the Department of Education and Training of Long An province has directed the Department of Education and Training of Can Giuoc district and the middle school where the female student was beaten to continuously monitor her health condition to have specific daily reports; at the same time, remind, educate and handle according to regulations for the group that beat the 7th grade female student.
