Recently, on social networks (Facebook), information appeared that the weather in August was less hot, the demand for electricity decreased, but the electricity bill for August 2025 of some households was still much higher than that of July. Notably, some of this information was shared by many personal pages and groups in large numbers, while it was not verified, lacked accuracy, and seriously affected the reputation of the electricity industry in general and Thanh Hoa Electricity Company in particular.

The content posted on CTH's personal Facebook on the morning of September 4, 2025 greatly affected the reputation of the electricity industry.

Specifically, on the morning of September 4, 2025, on his personal Facebook, CTH posted an article with the following content:

"Electricity Department, please... save my family. A small household but the electricity bill is more than 3 million VND every 3 months of summer. My family installed an electricity meter in the house and discovered the violation of the electrician. Mr. Manh (former Quang Trung electrician) installed the electricity on August 31. I took a picture and the difference was nearly 80 numbers. The meter in the house for 1 month and 2 days only showed 792 numbers but this month's receipt is 834 numbers. I need an explanation from the Electricity Department."

In just a short time, this post has been shared more than 4,800 times on many personal pages and groups with many members. Some pages have also distorted and added content in the direction of making assumptions and fabrications, seriously affecting the image of the electricity industry.

Immediately after the incident, the leaders of Thanh Hoa Electricity Company directed functional departments and affiliated units to coordinate with local authorities and police to check and verify the person who posted the article to clarify the information.

Through investigation, it was found that this was citizen CTH, residing in Ngoc Tra I village, Quang Chinh commune, Thanh Hoa province. On the same evening, Quang Chinh commune police invited this person to the headquarters for questioning. At the meeting, CTH admitted that posting unverified information was wrong, causing conflicting public opinions, affecting the reputation of the organization and individuals involved. It is known that the electricity supplier for this household is Thanh Hoa Electricity Business Management Joint Stock Company - an electricity sales organization that is not under the direct management system of the electricity industry. After that, CTH proactively corrected the information on the personal pages/groups that shared it and pledged not to repeat the offense.

The account owner has corrected the information on the post.

According to Vietnamese law, individuals and organizations must take full responsibility for the content of information they post, provide or share on social networks. Any act of posting false information will be strictly handled. Therefore, Thanh Hoa Electricity Company recommends that people be cautious and carefully verify information before posting or sharing. When having questions about electricity bills, customers should contact the electricity industry directly for objective and transparent inspection and answers. At the same time, customers need to periodically check the electrical system in their home, promptly detect and handle leakage and short circuit incidents, to avoid power loss and raise awareness of safe, economical and efficient use of electricity. In addition, customers with conditions can consider investing in rooftop solar power according to the self-production - self-consumption model, which both reduces electricity bills and is environmentally friendly.

Thanh Hoa Electricity Company commits to continuously improve service quality, build a team of professional, dedicated staff, always listen and serve customers thoughtfully and reliably, worthy of the trust and companionship of the government and people in the province.
