Hai Long created a masterpiece, Vietnam team defeated Cambodia

"Vietnam played better in the first half, but the second half was Cambodia's performance," Chhum Sina, a Cambodian account, expressed on the Asean Football website after his team lost 1-2 in the friendly match against Vietnam on the evening of March 19.

The Cambodian team entered the match confidently and caused many difficulties for the Vietnamese team in the first 25 minutes. However, in the 26th minute, midfielder Hai Long shone with a beautiful free kick from a distance of 25 meters to open the score for the Vietnamese team.

9 minutes later, it was Van Vi's turn to double the gap for the home team after successfully taking advantage of a chaotic situation in the visitors' penalty area. However, Cambodia completely changed the situation in the second half thanks to their continuous efforts to attack the goal.

In the 61st minute, striker Rotana missed a great opportunity to reduce the score when he failed to tap the ball in from close range after a favorable pass from his teammate on the left wing. However, in the 64th minute, Samuel took a long-range shot to score a goal for Cambodia.

However, the Vietnamese team still defended their goal well in the remaining minutes to win 2-1, thereby increasing their winning streak against Cambodia to 11.

"I think Cambodia is improving tactically under the guidance of Japanese coach Koji Gyotoku, but the players' physical strength still needs to improve," Ake Samak from Thailand commented on the reason why the Cambodian team lost to Vietnam.

"If Cambodia hadn't missed a goal, the result could have been different. Anyway, this was an interesting match between the two teams," said Ravid Voeun from Myanmar.

"Congratulations to both Vietnam and Cambodia. You guys played really hard. We are all brothers in Southeast Asia," shared Ricky S from Malaysia.

"I still think the Cambodian team played very well even though they suffered a narrow defeat. I think their level is close to the Vietnamese team," commented Blitar Barar from Cambodia.

"Good results when Cambodia tested the lineup. Winning or losing in friendly matches is normal. Wishing both Vietnamese and Cambodian football to develop even stronger in the future," Son Tavanchai, an account from Indonesia, concluded.
