Launching the writing contest "Deep memories of teachers and school"

Speaking at the launching ceremony, journalist Trieu Ngoc Lam, Editor-in-Chief of Education and Times Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest, expressed his belief that the contest is a place for generations of students to share and show gratitude to their teachers. After the contest, the beautiful images in each work will be further expanded and spread.

"Those stories will be the bricks that contribute to building a monument of gratitude and honor for teachers - those who have been and are sowing the seeds for the future of the country. To fulfill this great responsibility, in addition to motivational policies and the efforts of each teacher, we need the companionship, understanding and sharing of the whole society" - journalist Trieu Ngoc Lam said.

According to the Organizing Committee, the content of the entries focuses on profound memories of teachers and school. Specifically, the entries express profound impressions of teachers that the author loves and admires, or the special impacts and influences of teachers on learning, perception, and changes in the author's personal life (or the author's friends and relatives).

Typical pedagogical situations and the way teachers have resolved these situations that the author has encountered or experienced, demonstrating the professional capacity, creativity as well as the teachers' affection for students and for the profession. Memories, impressions, and deep attachment to the school that the author or his friends and relatives have attended or are attending....

Entries must be written in Vietnamese, in prose form, each work must be at least 500 words (with accompanying illustrations and videos if any).

The organizing committee awarded 2 collective prizes; 2 first prizes worth 10 million VND each, 4 second prizes, 6 third prizes, 10 consolation prizes, 2 prizes for Outstanding Characters in the winning works. The time for receiving entries is from now until October 31.

The closing ceremony and award ceremony are expected to be held in December 2024.
