Discovering the beautiful Son Nu cave in the middle of Truong Son forest in Quang Binh

Recently, local people discovered a beautiful cave system in the middle of Truong Son forest. This cave has beautiful and pristine stalactites. The area where this cave was discovered is in Diu Do village, Truong Son commune, Quang Ninh district, located about 7 km from the commune center, with convenient transportation.

The cave is more than 1.5 km long, the highest point of the cave entrance is about 30 m, located in the middle of the forest belonging to the Quang Ninh District Forest Management Board, the locality temporarily calls it Son Nu Cave. To reach Son Nu Cave, you have to walk about 1.5 km to Diu Do village, then spend about 1 hour crossing the sharp cat ear rock mountain, below there is a stream with beautiful scenery.

In the cave, there is an underground stream originating from the Vietnam - Laos border, passing through Doc May village, then flowing through Son Nu cave to the old Diu Do village and then merging with Khe Cac stream. In the summer, there is not much water in the cave, in 1 hour, people can row a boat from the beginning of the cave to the end of the cave.

Currently, Truong Son commune has many beautiful scenic spots suitable for tourism development such as: Tam Lu waterfall, Cha Cung stream, Cha Rao stream, especially the system of mysterious caves deep underground such as: Cha Cung cave, Cha Rao cave and recently discovered Son Nu cave.

Mr. Hoang Trong Duc, Chairman of the People's Committee of Truong Son Commune, Quang Ninh District, said that during a recent survey trip, he saw with his own eyes white stalactites flowing down from the cave, spreading out like a giant, soft, sparkling white silk, so he temporarily named it Son Nu Cave.

" We have sent a report to the district level and proposed calling for investment in tourism in the commune. We must find large enterprises to invest in order to be effective. The tourism plan in this cave area is very feasible but mainly serves tourists in the summer. Going there in the rainy season is very dangerous, " said Mr. Duc.
