Mr. Vu Manh Huyen, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Ward People's Council, shared: The OCOP program is very important, encouraging local people to preserve and promote traditional agricultural production such as growing custard apples, raising pigs, growing rice, yellow tea flowers... and creating new products. Thanks to the program, the image of the ward associated with typical products is widely promoted, thereby improving pride, solidarity and community responsibility. People have access to training courses and instructions on techniques, food safety, packaging, labeling, branding, etc. to help improve their knowledge and production and business skills.
The program also opens up opportunities to bring local products into the production chain, stable consumption; reduce the situation of "good harvest, low price". When recognized as OCOP products, the value of agricultural products increases, making it easier to access supermarkets, specialty stores, e-commerce, experiential tourism , creating more jobs, increasing household income to over 105 million VND/person/year.
In the mountainous commune of Ba Che, the OCOP Program is also having a strong impact on socio -economic development, having a great influence, stimulating production potential, opening up development opportunities, increasing the value of many typical local products. Thereby contributing to the transformation from small-scale production to production in the direction of value chain linkage, according to standards, regulations, traceability and meeting domestic market demand and aiming for export.
Mr. Vi Thanh Vinh, Chairman of Ba Che Commune People's Committee, said: Currently, the commune has 14 OCOP products of 6 entities, of which 4 products have achieved 4 stars, all of which are products of the mountains and forests such as: Golden flower tea, green lim mushroom, purple ba kich, ba kich wine. To promote the advantages of OCOP products, the commune has promoted propaganda and guided entities and people to implement Resolution No. 194/2019/NQ-HĐND (July 30, 2019) of Provincial People's Council on policies to encourage investment and linkage in production, processing and consumption of agricultural products in the province to develop raw material areas, meet stable supply, and at the same time control product quality and origin. Building a sustainable and effective OCOP product chain .
On the other hand, the commune also registers for subjects to participate in training courses organized by the province, to improve management skills, implement programs, develop advantageous products, products oriented as OCOP products at the provincial and national levels; guide subjects to apply digital platforms to promote and consume products...
After 12 years of implementing the program, Quang Ninh has affirmed its position and quality of OCOP products. Among them 437 star-rated products of the province, there are 8 5-star products, 103 4-star products and 326 3-star products. This is The result of a systematic, scientific and creative development orientation. Developing OCOP products in association with local advantages, applying modern technology, investing in production processes according to international standards such as HACCP, ISO 22000, developing organic raw material areas, designing professional packaging and maximizing the power of e-commerce.
From now until the end of 2025, the province strives to further develop 10 products OCOP achieved how to improve people's income and living standards, promote promote rural economic development in a modern and sustainable direction .
