Promoting the strength of great solidarity, building a rich and beautiful border commune of Thuan An

On the afternoon of September 17, the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Thuan An commune, term 2025 - 2030, officially took place with the participation of 151 delegates representing all walks of life in the commune. Comrade Pham Thi Phuc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee attended and directed the Congress.

Thuan An is a border commune established on the basis of merging two old communes, Thuan An and Dak Lao. The whole commune has about 22,697 people with 16 ethnic groups living together. During the past term, the commune Fatherland Front and its member organizations focused on innovating the content and methods of operation in a specific and practical direction. The role and position of the front are increasingly affirmed in the political system and social life.

The 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Thuan An commune had 151 official delegates representing all walks of life in attendance.

The campaign “All people unite to build new rural areas” has been widely deployed. Activities for the poor, relief and social security have been deployed promptly and to the right target. In 2024, the commune mobilized over 114 million VND for the Fund for the Poor; built 12 houses for poor households with a total amount of 940 million VND.

Ms. Nguyen Thuy Luan, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thuan An commune, delivered the opening speech of the Congress.

Activities of supervision, social criticism, and giving opinions on Party and government building are closely implemented, contributing to the successful implementation of socio -economic development, national defense and security goals in the commune.

In the 2025 - 2030 term, the Fatherland Front of Thuan An commune continues to promote its core role in building the great national unity bloc, strengthening social consensus, arousing confidence and aspirations for development. The Fatherland Front of the commune promotes emulation in studying, working creatively, promoting all potentials and resources among the people to improve social supervision and criticism; consolidate a strong organizational system, meeting new requirements and legitimate aspirations of the people.

Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Pham Thi Phuc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, praised the results of the Front's work and the achievements of the cadres and people of Thuan An commune in the past time. This is a solid premise for Thuan An commune and Lam Dong province to develop comprehensively and sustainably in the coming years.

Comrade Pham Thi Phuc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, commended the achievements of the Fatherland Front of Thuan An commune in recent times.

Comrade Pham Thi Phuc basically agreed with the direction and tasks for the 2025 - 2030 term, the Action Program of the Commune Fatherland Front has proposed with 5 groups of tasks and solutions and 13 main targets. At the same time, she suggested that the Commune Fatherland Front should promote propaganda, mobilization, gathering all classes of people, strengthening social consensus, promoting the strength of the great solidarity bloc of the people to build Thuan An commune increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized.

The Commune Fatherland Front needs to continue to innovate its content and methods of operation in the new situation with appropriate content and solutions. Coordination with the border guards and police to maintain sovereignty and political security; mobilizing people to actively participate in protecting the border line and landmarks... needs to be focused on.

The Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee requested that the fronts at all levels in Thuan An commune need to improve the quality and effectiveness of social supervision and criticism. Supervision and criticism activities must have a focus, key points, concentrating on issues of public concern and concern...

Localities need to propagate and organize the good implementation of the Law on Democracy at the grassroots level to realize the motto "People know, people discuss, people do, people inspect, people supervise, people benefit"; grasp the situation of the people and public opinion; organize well the conferences to meet voters, dialogue between leaders of Party committees and authorities with the people...

Thuan An Commune Party Secretary Le Van Hoang suggested that the Vietnam Fatherland Front should continue to promote its role and responsibility as a bridge between the Party, government and people.

Along with that, continue to promote patriotic emulation movements, campaigns associated with building cultural life, protecting the environment, and developing sustainable socio-economy; focus on building a strong communal Fatherland Front to meet the requirements and tasks in the new situation.

The Executive Committee of the Thuan An Commune Party Committee presented the Congress with a banner bearing the words Democracy - Solidarity - Discipline - Innovation - Development.

The congress elected 60 members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thuan An commune for the first time, term 2025-2030. The first meeting of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune elected positions in the Standing Committee; Ms. Nguyen Thuy Luan was elected to hold the position of Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thuan An commune. The congress also elected a delegation to attend the Congress of Vietnam Fatherland Front of Lam Dong province, term 2025-2030.
