As the country enters a new era, the Trade Union continues to affirm its role as a solid support for workers. Not only stopping at protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members, workers, and laborers, the Trade Union also proactively innovates its methods of operation, accompanies enterprises, and contributes to building a modern and strong working class, meeting the requirements of sustainable development of the country in the era of digital transformation and international integration.

There are many innovations

In recent times, trade union organizations have increasingly enhanced their role in representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers. This is considered one of the core and continuous tasks of trade unions at all levels.

Accordingly, the Provincial Trade Union has achieved many outstanding results. Specifically, the implementation of grassroots democracy regulations continues to be expanded with increasing scale and quality; the role of the Trade Union organization is increasingly evident in consulting, dialogue, discussion with employers, participating in building harmonious labor relations at enterprises, resolving labor disputes, collective work stoppages; legal consulting activities, legal support, authorization, participation in litigation, representation to protect the legitimate rights and interests of union members and employees;...

In addition, the Trade Union at all levels has implemented many good models and meaningful activities to practically care for the lives of union members and workers, creating the mark of the Trade Union organization in caring for and supporting union members and workers. Vice President of Tay Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor Pham Thi Quyen said: “Currently, in the new context, trade union activities are concentrated in the enterprise sector. To enhance the role of representing, caring for and protecting union members and workers in the new situation, trade union organizations at all levels continue to thoroughly grasp the spirit of Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW, dated June 12, 2021 of the Politburo on "Innovation of organization and operation of Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation". Accordingly, trade union organizations continue to improve the effectiveness of propaganda work by strongly innovating the content and methods of propaganda in a proactive, practical, timely and effective direction, while improving awareness and political mettle, qualifications, skills, industrial style, understanding of law and labor discipline for union members and workers associated with studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style. The provincial trade union also focuses on implementing well the work of developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions; promoting the work of Introduce outstanding Party members for consideration, training, and admission; pay attention to introducing outstanding Party members who are direct production workers.

In addition, the Provincial Trade Union also focuses on innovating the organization of activities to care for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers.

Accordingly, based on the needs, legitimate aspirations and the representation, care and protection of the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers of each unit and enterprise, the Trade Union determines the content and goals of organizing activities, at the same time building trust and creating cohesion between workers and the Trade Union organization so that Trade Unions at all levels are truly organizations of workers, by workers and for workers.

The provincial Trade Union also focuses on building a team of Trade Union cadres at all levels with intelligence, courage, enthusiasm, responsibility, prestige and good working methods to meet the requirements and tasks in the new context. In particular, proactively preparing a team of Trade Union cadres with capacity, qualities, and ability to meet the requirements and tasks in the context of integration.

Promoting the role of workers

The working class has made important contributions to the cause of national liberation, building and defending the Fatherland; is the vanguard force in the cause of national innovation, creative labor, confidently entering the era of national advancement.

To promote the pioneering role of workers, trade union organizations launch patriotic emulation movements, especially the movement of excellent workers and creative workers among union members and workers; the movement of popular digital education among union officials, union members and workers for the Vietnamese trade union to innovate and create, for the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers, together with the country to firmly enter the new era.

With the support and encouragement of the Trade Union, workers not only work enthusiastically but also actively respond to patriotic emulation movements, especially the movements of good workers and creative workers, through participating in initiatives and technical improvements.

Thanks to that, in the province, there are more and more initiatives, technical solutions, improvements, applications of scientific and technical advances, equipment and technological innovations being deployed and implemented, helping businesses overcome difficulties, maintain production and business, enhance competitiveness, and at the same time improve working conditions and environment, limit occupational accidents and diseases, promote production development and improve and care for the lives and incomes of workers.

From this movement, many typical, advanced collectives and individuals have emerged, passionate about labor, creative, representing the will to rise of the union members and workers, contributing to improving production efficiency and work quality in enterprises.

There are innovative initiatives from workers and laborers, product quality is improved.

Mr. Le Van Hung - Quality Supervisor of Vina Eco Board Co., Ltd. (Ben Luc commune), shared: "From my work experience, I had the initiative to install a machined shock absorber cylinder and manufacture a new set of springs to reduce the impact force for the two main cylinder assemblies. This initiative helps increase the usage time of the two main cylinder assemblies to 18 months and reduce the cost of replacing the cylinder, while helping the company save nearly 1.5 billion VND in production costs in 2024."

As a paint sprayer at Ray Tu Company Limited (My Loc Commune), Mr. Pham Minh Cuong boldly participated in the innovation initiative and was recognized and highly appreciated by the company. Accordingly, during the working process, he discovered some limitations that needed to be overcome to save costs for the company and contribute to environmental protection. Spending time thinking and improving, Mr. Cuong successfully implemented the initiative to change the plastic cup tool to a plastic bottle with a lid in the paint cleaning process. The initiative helps the plastic bottle to be durable, reusable many times, save water and not harm the environment, benefiting the company 160 million VND/year.

Production Director of Elite Vietnam Global Shoe Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (Ben Luc commune) Chau Ngoc Xoa also strives to implement many innovative initiatives, spreading the spirit of creativity among employees. In particular, her initiative to eliminate the step of gluing reinforcement inside and outside the toe part of the Reebok RBK 2312W shoe helps the company reduce the cost of purchasing raw materials and labor costs by more than 800 million VND/year.

Employee initiatives help businesses overcome limitations and difficulties and increase productivity. Employee innovation and creativity are gradually becoming a necessary requirement to improve quality and reduce product costs for businesses.
