Issue first alarm on Yen River

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - At 5:00 p.m. on August 25, the Thanh Hoa Province Civil Defense Command issued Official Dispatch No. 16, issuing an alert I on the Yen River.

Telegrams sent to the Chairmen of the People's Committees of the communes: Nong Cong, Thang Binh, Truong Van, Trung Chinh, Thang Loi, Tuong Linh, Quang Chinh, Tien Trang, Quang Yen, Quang Ngoc, Ngoc Son, Cac Son and Dong Son ward.

According to the flood warning bulletin on Yen River No. CBLU-32/16h30/THOA dated August 25, 2025 of Thanh Hoa Province Hydrometeorological Station, at 4:00 p.m. on August 25, the water level on Yen River at Chuoi Hydrological Station was +1.43 m (0.57 m below BĐI) and was continuing to rise; the warning water level of Yen River at Chuoi Hydrological Station is likely to reach Alarm Level I (+2 m) at around 6:00-8:00 p.m. on August 25.

The Provincial Civil Defense Command issued a first alert on the Yen River at the Chuoi Hydrological Station, requesting the Chairmen of the People's Committees of the above-mentioned communes and wards:

1. Immediately deploy dike patrols and dike protection according to alarm levels.

2. Organize inspection, review and be ready to deploy plans to ensure the safety of dike works; especially key dike points and culverts under the dike in the area.

3. Proactively implement evacuation plans for people living in riverbank areas.

4. Organize a serious 24/7 on-duty team, closely monitor the developments of rain and floods to be ready to handle situations from the first hour; promptly inform and report to the Provincial Disaster Prevention and Control Command Office and the Standing Office of the Provincial Civil Defense Command./.
