According to the assessment of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Long An province, in general, there has been a clear change in the traditional vegetable areas of the province. Nearly 100% of farmers use organic fertilizers in vegetable production. Adding organic fertilizers helps improve the soil, plants grow better, and prolongs the time to change the soil...

When synchronously applying scientific and technical solutions such as: using organic fertilizers, biological products, biological pesticides, watering with water-saving irrigation systems, especially growing vegetables in greenhouses and greenhouses, it helps increase productivity and vegetable quality much better than traditional vegetable growing methods.

Farmers also save a lot on fertilizer, pesticides, and labor costs. The most important thing is to create products that ensure food safety for consumers while protecting the ecological environment, aiming for sustainable agriculture that adapts to climate change.

According to the 2021-2025 plan, Long An province must have 2,000 hectares of high-tech vegetables. However, by July 2024, the area of ​​high-tech vegetables in Long An had reached 2,072.26 hectares, exceeding the target by 103.6%.
