Red Rain Movie: Recreating the spirit of the generation who "put down their pens and ink" for the Fatherland

The recently released teaser trailer and teaser poster of the historical war film Red Rain have revealed tragic and touching images of soldiers defending Quang Tri Citadel in 1972 – including many students who left school and volunteered to go to war.

Not tragic, Red Rain realistically depicts a young generation ready to sacrifice and overcome hardships to protect every inch of their homeland. The words of the character Cuong (played by Do Nhat Hoang) "If there is anything, I hope you can advise me further" amidst the bombs and bullets are like a flame that lights up the steadfast spirit of the steadfast soldiers.

The film also recreates the image of solidarity between the North, Central and South in the same squad, reflecting the spirit of “the whole country going to war” as squad leader Ta (played by Phuong Nam) said. The contrasting scenes between the mud-stained liberation army and the modern camouflage army further highlight the value of will, belief and noble ideals.

“ Red Rain is a film in which each character is built with deep gratitude for the generation that sacrificed for peace today,” director Dang Thai Huyen shared.

Red Rain with the participation of actors: Hua Vi Van, Do Nhat Hoang, Ha Anh, Steven Nguyen, Phuong Nam, Lam Thanh Nha, Dinh Khang, Hoang Long... is expected to premiere from August 22.
