According to the latest information from distributors, cinemas will have movies during Tet holiday. "The Four Panthers" by Tran Thanh; "Love the wrong best friend" by Nguyen Quang Dung, Diep The Vinh; "The billion dollar kiss" by Thu Trang, expected to be released on the first day of Lunar New Year 2025 (January 29th).

If this director's Tet movies have ever attracted attention because of the fiery confrontations between children and parents ( The Godfather and Mrs. Nu's house or the love between men and women overcomes social prejudices to come together ( Mai), then the fourth movie - " The Avengers Quartet " will be much lighter.

"Love the wrong best friend" Directed by Nguyen Quang Dung and Diep The Vinh, it is a remake of a Thai film. “Friend Zone” was shown in Vietnam in 2019, earning 53.2 billion VND. The film is a romantic comedy, telling the story of a girl caught between her boyfriend and her best friend of the opposite sex.

In the film, Thanh Son plays a musician with a rugged style and grows a beard to look older. He plays the female lead, played by Kaity Nguyen, and is the rival of her best friend, played by actor Tran Ngoc Vang.

This is the second time Thanh Son appears on the big screen, after the movie State Investment. "The smell of burning grass" (2012) by director Nguyen Huu Muoi. However, this is the first time he has "gone south" to act in a privately produced film during the Lunar New Year.

Director Nguyen Quang Dung has made films that have reached or exceeded the 100 billion VND mark, including: "Blood Moon Party," "Southern Forest Land."

After the box office success of “Sister Thirteen: 3 Days of Life and Death” (2019, revenue 108.6 billion VND), actress Thu Trang decided to join the Tet race this year with the movie "The billion dollar kiss." She plays the role of actress, director and producer.

For many years, Thu Trang has been a familiar and beloved name in web dramas released on YouTube. In the film industry, she has appeared in many films. "Let me count 2," "I am your grandmother" and “Blood Moon Party,” all reached or exceeded 100 billion VND in revenue.

According to initial promotional information, "The billion dollar kiss" This is a family-romance film, starring Miss Thien An and young actors Le Xuan Tien and Ma Ran Do. It is likely also a "love triangle" situation.

This is the second movie the 2000-born beauty queen has participated in, the first was "The Prince of Bac Lieu " (released December 6, 2024), co-starring with Song Luan, the film's main role.
