Dissemination of the 2024 Archives Law

Comrade Dao Hong Van, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Director of the Department of Home Affairs and delegates attended the conference at the Hung Yen province bridge.

The 2024 Archives Law consists of 8 chapters and 65 articles, built on the basis of inheriting the 2011 Archives Law and focuses on clarifying 4 major policies including: Authority to manage archival documents belonging to the Vietnam National Archives; management of electronic archival documents to meet the requirements of digital transformation and e- Government development; management of private archival documents; Management of archival service activities.

Delegates were informed of a number of key topics: New regulations on digital archiving and technology application in performing archival operations; regulations on archiving paper documents and documents on other information carriers; development of archival human resources; archival service activities, promoting the value of archival documents; overview of new regulations of the legal system on archiving to meet the requirements of the Politburo 's resolutions.

The conference also spent time answering questions and exchanging practical experiences in document and archive work at ministries, branches and localities. Thereby, helping the team of cadres, civil servants and public employees working in document and archive work to promptly grasp new regulations, contributing to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state management in the field of archives.
