Vice Chairman of the National Assembly suggests development direction for Quang Nam

(NLDO) – The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly said that it is time to think about attracting high-tech projects to the Eastern Quang Nam region.

On December 4, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai attended and delivered a speech at the 28th session of the People's Council of Quang Nam province, term X, 2021-2026.

Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai informed the provincial People's Council delegates about the important contents of the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly and said that the success of the session is a lesson for the People's Council to apply appropriately, further improving the quality and efficiency of its activities.

On behalf of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai congratulated and commended the efforts, endeavors, sense of responsibility, proactiveness and creativity in the leadership, direction, administration and coordination of the Party Committee, government and people of Quang Nam province, to achieve outstanding results in socio-economic development.

According to the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Quang Nam is entering the stage of summarizing and evaluating the implementation of the Resolution of the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2020-2025 term with many remarkable results, but the province's economy still faces many challenges.

Regarding Quang Nam's development strategy, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly said it is necessary to continue research to develop in the new situation.

“After 25 years of re-establishing the province, we have built a basic foundation, notably developing the infrastructure system, shifting the economic structure and we have developed with high quality, with budget collection ranking first in the Central region, which speaks to the determination to escape poverty and rise up, the dynamism and creativity of Quang Nam” – the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly assessed.

However, Mr. Nguyen Duc Hai said that it is necessary to renew the development thinking in modern conditions. Quang Nam must thoroughly grasp the breakthrough point of view, accelerate further, and aim to develop the digital economy and high technology for the Eastern region, paying attention to the regional connectivity factor...

“We have a very large land fund, with 20,000 hectares of land in the Eastern region. Previously, we focused on developing tourism, but it is time to think about attracting high technology, how to develop technology with intellectual content to solve the problem of high-quality human resources in the province” – the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly suggested.

Basically agreeing with the key tasks and solutions set out by the province, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly suggested that Quang Nam focus, be resolute, and be creative in organizing the implementation of tasks, build programs, plans, and projects with practical and specific contents, clearly assign responsibilities, and have a roadmap to strive for implementation to create a clear change in socio-economic development; focus on building a united, clean, and strong Party and political system...
