Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Nam Hung: Complete site clearance for the entire Regional Linkage project in 2025

DNO - On the afternoon of August 27, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Nam Hung led a working delegation to inspect the situation and direct the removal of difficulties and obstacles in site clearance for the Central Region Linkage project.

The delegation included representatives from the Department of Construction, Department of Agriculture and Environment, City Land Fund Development Center, Quang Nam Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (investor) and leaders of relevant communes and wards.

According to the report of the Quang Nam Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, up to now, the handed-over area has reached 15.7/31.5km (49.8%), the construction output has been more than 196.7/516.07 billion VND (38.13%). Disbursement in 2025 will reach more than 50.3/more than 163 billion VND (30.9%).

However, there are still many problems related to compensation, resettlement, electricity infrastructure, and fiber optic cables. Some resettlement areas are behind schedule due to problems with site clearance and lack of land for filling.

The site has not been handed over, leading to slow construction progress; in some places, progress is low despite repeated inspections and instructions from provincial leaders.

During the inspection, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Nam Hung listened and directed the resolution of problems for each specific case in each commune and ward where the project passed through; at the same time, set a deadline for each group of tasks to speed up the progress of handing over clean land for project construction.

The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee informed that the loan agreement has expired, in principle the road must be completed this year. The City is assigning the competent authorities, including the investor, to work with the central ministries and branches to extend the project.

The city directs to focus on compensation, site clearance and resettlement with the spirit of "6 clear".

“The leaders of the City People's Committee have directed each specific case, specific situation and given very detailed policies in the spirit of "6 clear". We must be determined and resolute to complete the site clearance work for the entire route this year. Next year, we will completely complete the Central Region Connectivity project”, the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee directed.

The Central Region Connectivity Project in Da Nang has a total length of 31.5km, passing through the communes of Thang Truong (2km, including Truong Giang bridge), Tay Ho and Chien Dan (1.9km), Tien Phuoc (8.55km), Thanh Binh (7.42km), Lanh Ngoc (5.91km), Tra My (5.7km).

The project has a total adjusted investment of 1,059.8 billion VND (equivalent to more than 47.6 million USD), sourced from Korean ODA loans and counterpart funds from the central and local budgets.

The investment scale is a level IV plain road for most of the road section, and a level III plain road in Thang Truong commune. The implementation period is adjusted until December 31, 2027.
