Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Quynh Thien dialogued and resolved difficulties at the Thanh Phong Wind Power Plant Project

Mr. Nguyen Quynh Thien - Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee spoke at the dialogue with people of Thanh Hai commune.

According to the report, the project has so far completed 9 wind turbines, connected to the national grid and put into commercial operation since September 2023. However, the implementation process still faces many difficulties and problems. As of September 2025, 52 households continued to complain about noise, impacts on crops, aquatic products, electrical safety corridors, health and public transport works.

Regarding compensation, the province and commune have made advances to 117 households, while 20 households have not yet agreed. People have proposed to expand the compensation area from 217.5m (according to current regulations) to 300m, claiming that this is the legal distance to the electrical safety corridor.

Faced with this situation, the People's Committee of Vinh Long province has issued many directive documents, requesting departments, branches, localities and Ecowin Energy Joint Stock Company to coordinate urgently in measuring and inventorying land, and soon completing the compensation plan.

Speaking at the dialogue, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Quynh Thien requested to quickly remove difficulties, ensure the legitimate rights of the people, and maintain security and order in the area. The province, sectors, localities and investors seriously receive the opinions of the people and will strictly implement the law, adequately responding to the legitimate aspirations of the people.
