Striving to expand 1,500 hectares of biosafety super-intensive white-leg shrimp farming by 2025

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has just issued a plan to replicate the super-intensive, recirculating, bio-safe white-leg shrimp farming model with little water change (RAS-IMTA) on a scale of 1,500 hectares in the province.

Step by step improve productivity and efficiency of shrimp farming from the RAS-IMTA model.

The plan targets to expand the RAS-IMTA model to 1,500 hectares by 2025; productivity reaches 22 - 25 tons/ha/crop. Build farming areas according to the chain link, achieve international certification ASC, BAP... equivalent certification.

Developing a model of super-intensive, recirculating white-leg shrimp farming with little water change and biosafety in the province in the direction of high technology, large-scale production, sustainability and environmental friendliness; improving productivity, quality and economic efficiency; gradually converting the current popular water-changing shrimp farming model to a farming form applying advanced, recirculating technology, reducing emissions, adapting to climate change and controlling diseases... contributing to the growth of GRDP in region I (fishery - agriculture - forestry) of the province in 2025 and the following years.
